Critical Assistance Since May 1991, the State of Wisconsin has funded Rural Housing to provide crucial assistance. As of June 30, 2009:
Rural Housing does all eligible activities for the counties that are not served by local agencies. Eligible activities include preventing homelessness with a security deposit into subsidized units with local agencies receiving new federal funds as of October 2009 activies have changed. We work with lenders and counties to prevent foreclosures with budgeting and partial payments. We can assist homeowners with utility payment only after successful completion of a three month budget plan. Clients' income must be below 50% of the county median income by family size. They must be spending at least 30% of income on housing costs and be able to afford the next months rent or mortgage. The applications are on the web site to be downloaded. Proof of income is critical to processing the application. Critical Assistance Over the Years to June 30, 2009
Testimonials I am writing to thank you for your efforts on my behalf. Last week my landlord received a check for $450 because of your work. Many would not have looked at our case. Words cannot express my gratitude for the help you've given my son, and myself. I thank you from the bottom of my heart - whoever set up this.
Rural Housing, Just a quick note -- can't say how much I appreciate your organization for paying my mortgage. My cast is off my leg and I should be back to work next month. What a blessing it was when I received the letter stating you paid my taxes, my prayers have been answered. My bills have really gotten to me. It is so hard to believe that one of my biggest one has been taken care of for now. Community Services Block Grant • Critical Assistance • Back |
